S/MAC Studio offers an intimate experience in a private studio located in Glasgow’s City Centre. Just 5 minutes away from Central station and a short walk from Bridge Street subway station.

The studio aims to create beautiful hair tailored to you in a relaxed and friendly environment. For clients who wear hijab or want to have their hair done during quieter / private hours please contact us directly as we cannot guarantee the space will be suitable if booked online. We are always happy to accommodate our clients requirements to the best of our abilities.

Please choose a stylist that you feel reflects your desired outcome. See the salon portfolio.

Please note that we are a small business and each stylist works independently under the studio.

Late cancellations and rescheduling has a negative impact on us – please only book a time that you know you can make. Cancellations OR reschedules 48 hours or less before your scheduled appointment will result in 50% charge of the appointment. This includes appointments canceled or rescheduled due to not having a valid patch test. No shows will result in a 100% charge of appointment.

As each stylist works independently by appointment only we do not have set opening hours, clients showing up more than 15 minutes early may not be accommodated until their appointment time.

We proudly use Davines, wella & K18 in salon.

Sophie
She/her

With 8 years of experience in the industry, working between London and Glasgow, salon director Sophie has built a career around creating bold, effortless styles for her clients.

She specialises in natural, lived-in colour, bold coppers, and precision cutting with a particular love for shaggy textured shapes and 90s-inspired layers.

Her approach is all about enhancing what’s already there – working with texture, tone, and movement to deliver looks that feel both timeless and modern. Whether it’s a soft, low-maintenance blend or a statement-making transformation, she is passionate about creating hair that feels as good as it looks.

Reece Phimister

Undoubtedly one of the most well-rounded and skilled hair stylists currently in Scotland, as the co-founder of Ponyboy and the leader of all things hair as it pertains to Ponyboy, Reece has also created collections and lead teams to achieve this since Ponyboy’s inception. Their work featured across most notable publications including (but not limited to) Dazed, Rolling Stone, Mixmag, The Skinny.

Reece has a particular passion for editorial work that challenges them artistically and splits their team between being in the SMAC salon and being on set for music videos, films and fashion editorials.
